Because of the actions of the Christian Right, Yahoo! has been forced to close down mailing lists and remove the search functions on Yahoo! Groups.

We, the adult users of Yahoo! groups, are appalled at this.  We have created a community on Yahoo! We have supported Onelist and EGroups.  We support Yahoo! We are now at a crossroads.  We wish to continue to support a company that has been kind to us, providing us access to such featues as clubs, web pages and mailing lists that allow us to exist as a community. We have been kind to Yahoo!'s advertisers.  But now, we are no longer wanted and our communities are being dismantled.

Yahoo is a business and it relies on advertisers.  The Christian Right has threatened a boycott.  Well, so are we.  Remove our legal mailings, web sites, and clubs because of the Right and we'll Boycott you Yahoo! Not only will we boycott you, but we'll boycott your advertisers.  By and large, our community is more net savy than the Right and our community spends more than the Right.  We too have money Yahoo and we have no problem boycotting Yahoo in order for our own interest to be heard.
